In memory of Amal and Hatem
My parents were well known for their humbleness and hospitality. They spent so much time helping people, whether it was finding a way to bring them out of the Middle East for a better future or funding their education or medical needs.
Until the last day of their lives, my parents were always giving money to others and helping in whatever way they could. They were always sharing their food, and their home was open to everyone. You could never enter their home without being fed!
The beauty of their souls has left a permanent mark in everyone who knew them.
On the night of 19th July 2022... they were on their way back home to Oxford from London. They had been visiting some family and friends. Unfortunately, they never made it home, and they both died instantly from a car accident.
The events that unfolded shortly after will always be a painful blur.
At their funeral, my husband met a man who knew my parents well, and they had funded his education. It was from there that we realised the importance of allowing their legacy to live on.
